Independence Bunting Can Assist with Memorial Decorations

One of the things we enjoy the most here at Independence Bunting is being able to share our customers’ holidays and happy times. However, as we all know, life doesn’t always give us reason for celebration. The recent tragedy at a Colorado movie theater reminds us that heartache and loss are part of what we must bear during our time here on Earth. We can’t explain why such things occur, but, when you want to honor the memory of someone precious to you, we can assist with tasteful memorial decorations appropriate to such occasions.
Our Mourning Bunting
We offer bunting in either 18” or 36” width, with purple and black color schemes. One style features a purple stripe bordered on both sides by black; the other has two purple stripes and three black ones, two on the edges and one in the center. These items come in your choice of two fabrics. One is a cotton/poly mix that’s ideal for indoor or outdoor use. The other is our durable SolarMax nylon, which is made to stand up to the effects of the sun and weather, making it ideal for outdoor displays.
These products are made with solid color material that is cut and stitched together. This means that, unlike companies that print their colors, ours will not run. Both the top and bottom edges are finished with hems, and both ends are finished with headers. We sell by the yard and will cut your order to the length you wish (minimum length of 5 yards, please). We’ll also be happy to add grommets on either or both edges and on the top and bottom, if you so desire.
Our Memorial Pleated Flags
These are a particularly touching way to honor the memory of a loved one who has passed on or to commemorate the life of someone who is personally significant to you. They are available in three color schemes: a center stripe that is dark purple, surrounded on either side by black bands, a five-stripe purple/black design with black in the center and the edges, and a solid black field. They also offer the following features:
  • Available in several sizes, ranging from 12” x 24” to 48” x 96”.
  • Made from your choice of either a cotton/poly blend for indoor/outdoor use, or a special weather-resistant nylon for extended outdoor displays.
  • Excellent quality construction, with hemming on all edges.
  • Colors are stitched in, not printed on – they stay true much longer.
  • Made in the USA.
Custom Decorations
Sometimes you may prefer a completely customized design to honor a person or group who has been lost to us. You might want it to include their favorite colors or to be unique in some other way. We can help with those needs as well. Give us a call at 800-995-9129 or email us at independencebunting@gmail.com. We’ll work with you to create custom bunting or pleated fans in any combination of over 200 custom colors, which you can view by clicking here. We’ll tailor your order to your specifications, including width and length (minimum order is 25 yards). This can be an ideal way to add a special touch to a memorial service or cemetery decorations.
A Lesson from the Life of George Washington
When we’re faced with events that seem to make no sense, we can draw comfort and wisdom from looking at how great persons in history have dealt with trying circumstances. In the winter of 1777-78, George Washington camped with his army of 11,000 men at Valley Forge, PA, where they endured wretched conditions. Food and clothing were scarce, and almost 3,000 soldiers were so sick that they were unable to fulfill their duties. Some lost toes in the bitter cold because they had no shoes. Others starved slowly because they had no rations. Still others succumbed to diseases they contracted due to the lack of sanitation or heat.
However, from the midst of this horror comes one of the most touching stories from our national history. It is said that Washington would go away into the woods by himself often, and there he would kneel in prayer for his men and for the cause of liberty. We only know this because he was spotted by a fellow who, unbeknownst to the great general, watched him as he sought direction from the Almighty.
The lesson for us today is that, when we can’t understand why things happen, we can still seek solace and guidance from a Higher Power. We leave you with that thought, as we wish you the very best in the months and years ahead, and whenever you may need cemetery or memorial decorations, turn to us for quality products that will leave a lasting impression.
